2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car revealed: price, specs and release date

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the brand’s newest purpose-built electric car. It’s a family SUV alternative to the likes of the Volkswagen ID4 and Skoda Enyaq iV, and comes with up to 290 miles of range thanks to its 72.6kWh battery. First-edition ‘Project 45’ models will cost £45,000 when they go on sale in the UK in summer 2021.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5’s design is one of the worst-kept secrets of any new electric car. It looks almost identical to the ’45 EV Concept’ that Hyundai revealed back in 2019.

Just want to thank the guys at The Vehicle Leasing Expert. Being a leasing novice they were great at explaining how it works and talked me through all of my options including the maintenance plan that is perfect for me. So looking forward to my new car being delivered to my front door - no looking around forecourts, no stress just a shiny new 🚗
